Bucket Lift
A heavy duty Bucket Elevator and Bucket Lift engineered for vertical bulk material handling — moving grain, minerals, chemicals and powders between floors, hoppers and silos without spillage or product damage.

Bucket Elevator & Bucket Lift Overview
Swastik Technology’s Bucket Elevator is a heavy duty vertical material handling machine engineered to lift bulk material such as grain, flour, minerals, chemicals and granular product from a low intake point to a high discharge point without damaging the product or spilling material along the way. Also referred to as a Bucket Lift or Bucket Conveyor, the machine uses a continuous loop of belt or chain fitted with evenly spaced buckets that scoop material at the base, carry it upward inside an enclosed casing, and discharge it at the head. As an established Bucket Elevator Manufacturer and Bucket Lift Manufacturer, Swastik Technology builds this Material Handling Equipment in both belt and chain driven configurations, so processors can choose a lighter design for free flowing material or a Heavy Duty Bucket Lift for abrasive or high temperature loads. Flour mills, rice mills, feed plants, seed processing units, chemical plants and bulk storage facilities rely on this Vertical Conveyor to move product between floors, into silos, hoppers and storage bins, or between stages of a processing line. Whether a plant needs a compact Bucket Lift Machine for a single storey site or an Industrial Bucket Lift engineered for continuous multi shift operation, Swastik Technology matches the bucket type, drive speed and casing height to the product and required throughput.

What Is a Bucket Elevator?
A Bucket Elevator is a mechanical conveying system built to move bulk material vertically using a series of buckets mounted on an endless belt or chain that runs between a head pulley and a boot pulley inside a fully enclosed casing. Material is fed into the boot section, where each bucket scoops a measured quantity as it passes through the material bed. The buckets then travel upward along the vertical run and, on reaching the head, discharge their contents either by gravity or centrifugal action into a chute, hopper or the next stage of the process line. Because the entire elevating path is enclosed, this Bucket Lifting System keeps dust contained, protects the product from contamination and allows continuous, unattended operation at mill or plant scale. Depending on the application, the same working principle is supplied with a belt for grain, flour and lightweight granular material, or with a chain for heavier, hot or abrasive bulk material such as minerals, clinker or chemical powders, which is why it is also known on plant drawings as a Grain Bucket Lift. Built specifically for vertical lift, this machine remains one of the most space efficient and reliable ways to move bulk material between floors or process stages, and it is commonly specified as a Bucket Conveyor within a wider Industrial Conveyor System.
How Does a Bucket Lift Work?
Feeding
Bulk material is fed into the boot section at the base of the machine at a controlled rate.
Scooping
Buckets mounted on the belt or chain scoop material as they pass through the feed zone at the bottom of the unit.
Vertical Lift
The loaded buckets travel upward through the enclosed casing, carrying material to the required height.
Discharge
At the head pulley, buckets invert and discharge material by gravity or centrifugal action into the outlet chute.
Return
Empty buckets return down the opposite side of the casing to be reloaded at the boot, completing a continuous cycle.
